It looks like PokerStars will continue to use sports stars as part of their marketing strategy going forward after all. Earlier this year the online poker giant send an email to its affiliates, which led to believe that the company was done using big sports stars to promote their brand. The recent signing of comedian Kevin Hart appeared to be the new way to go, but now all of a sudden PokerStars has announced their new sports ambassador – world’s fastest man Usain Bolt.
According to Bolt, he will join funny man Hart and help bring poker and PokerStars to the masses:
“PokerStars is a winner, and I’m happy to join Kevin in helping to bring poker and PokerStars to the masses. It’s a challenging game that’s fun, social, and competitive, so I’m pleased to be able to introduce it to my fans and to people around the world,” Bolt said in a press release.
