After rebranding their PokerStars events earlier this year, the online poker giant has restored the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) name to ensure the PCA remains “a premiere poker festival”.
Apparently the new PokerStars Championship and PokerStars Festival events have not been a huge success, and after getting some feedback from players, the poker site is now trying to get the high-stakes players back to play their PCA live events.
“This feedback included suggestions that we restore the PCA name and improve the quality of that event to reflect the great heritage and unique experience that made PCA one of the most-anticipated poker events of the year. We’re restoring the name and reinvigorating the event to ensure it remains a premier poker festival,” PokerStars Director of Corporate Communications Eric Hollreiser said.
Some notable changes include reinstating the $10,300 buy-in for the PCA Main Event, reducing rake on a number of tournaments and a revamped 2018 PCA tournament schedule. It’s still unclear, will PokerStars make same changes to their other events held in different locations.

The 2018 PCA is scheduled for Jan. 6-14, and it remains to be seen will these changes be enough for some players to come back playing the annual poker festival.
