Phil Galfond’s delayed online poker site project appears to be finally launching this summer.
Galfond and his team published a statement yesterday, where he revealed they’ve just began a private beta and first version of their online poker site should go live this summer.

According to the post, Galfond and his team will roll out their Run It Once Poker site in two phases. That means the site will only offer cash games at first:
Our Phase 1 platform will provide cash games that (we think) look and feel great and include some exciting and innovative features.
Tournaments will be added in Phase 2 (more on that below).
We decided on this for a few reasons:
- We didn’t want to release anything we aren’t proud of, so launching with unpolished and partial versions of multiple offerings was off the table.
- We figured that you’d rather have something from us than to wait much longer for us to offer everything.
- We were furthest along on cash games, and even if we hadn’t been, launching with tournaments only would be extremely challenging for a new site fighting for liquidity.
Galfond was still careful to give out any timetable for Run It Once Poker’s Phase 2, but it will include things like general software enhancements, more user options, a more distinct SNG offering and an innovative Tournament experience.
Galfond also promises the Phase 2 will include an “awesome nosebleed stakes offering” and it remains to be seen can his site attract enough high-stakes pros to play on the site.
